While I see many complaints about 24 Petwatch pet insurance, I have had the exact opposite.
I have had my cats insured since they were 8 weeks old. They are now adult cats ranging in age from 1-6 years.
The wait time for my claims to be processed and paid is roughly 30 days. More complex bills take more time. I have always received payment within 45 days of filing a claim. Rarely is a claim denied and if it is, it is my fault because I have sent medical bills in too late. 90 Days is the cut off for a claim. Claims can be faxed, emailed or mailed.
I have champion coverage. It covers routine medical exams, shots, tests, etc. My policies are 100.00 deductible per year, per animal and a 20% deductible per invoice.
They have covered allergies, illness, dental care, hospital stays and routine care without delay. One animal had congestive heart failure and was euthanized as there was no hope of recovery. They paid the euthanasia and cremation invoice as well.
Check your coverage, if you don't like the coverage you have selected, it's a phone call away to change it.
When you take out an insurance policy, the language is clear. Your pet is covered at 12:01 on the day the policy is put into effect, accidents are covered after that point. There is a 14 day waiting period for illness.
No pet insurance company will cover pre-existing conditions.
I have had many vet visits and illnesses over the last six years. I have had many conversations with their customer service representatives and I have always been very helpful and have answered any questions I have had. If it's that important that you speak to a representative wait on the line, don't ask for a call back.
I am very satisfied with 24 Petwatch per insurance and I wouldn'd change a thing.
