    While I see many complaints about 24 Petwatch pet insurance, I have had the exact opposite. I have had my cats insured since they were 8 weeks old. They are now adult cats ranging in age from 1-6 years. The wait time for my claims to be processed and paid is roughly 30 days. More complex bills take more time. I have always received payment within 45 days of filing a claim.     My dog gets stolen by this lady whom we expected and called her, which she denied stealing. So I put out a Pet Amber Alert, an ad in the newspaper and flyers all over town. For months and months.     I'm sorry to say I waited 7 weeks for delivery of a large red heart tag that was supposed to warn people my dog is chipped and have his name and phone number on the other side .... I told the rep he is a Service dog with multiple IDs but she says that makes him 'theft worthy ' and this warning tag will be useful ...     This is scam company that collects premiums and defers or defaults on claims. Between the paperwork and the time delays and the phone holds and the processing problems, they've managed to collect 5 months of pet insurance premiums while processing a single claim.     24Petwatch reps have lied to us! Feb 2, 2014 we purchased a year of insurance of both dogs; rep stated we would be covered from that point on. Our dog had surgery and the other had other things done. NO ONE has responded like they were supposed to via a phone call! No one has followed up with information asked!   • 24PETWATCH IS CRUEL TO ANIMALS



    I have paid about $1400 in insurance over the past seven years. My cat was diagnosed with liver cancer by my vet (via sonogram, tumors in three places) but 24petwatch refuses to pay a single penny, although cancer is covered by my policy. Sonogram is not good enough for them. They will only pay (after a $2000 deductible, that is) if they slit my cat's stomach open to prove that it is cancer, even though the vets don't want to do it.     I strongly urge people not to go through 24PetWatch; I started with them about 4 years ago and have not had a problem until now, nonetheless this issue is bad enough that i feel the need to share.     I adopted a dog in Dec 2009 who had a 24PetWatch chip previously implanted. I was given a Registration Document and Change of Ownership Form to send in. Both were mailed on Dec 6, 2009.     We registered our dog with 24PetWatch and we recently learned that 24PetWatch changed her ownership information without out knowledge. They insist that our dog is owned by another person (with a similar name to mine) whose name and address we have never heard of, however we have had our dog ever since the microchip was implanted.   • Don't buy this insurance



    This insurance is fine for the first year. But pray that your animal does not have an illness that lasts one day over one year. At that point, all insurance for that particular illness stops- forever! This is outrageous and inhumane. Just imagine if a human's insurance would discontinue after one year for a particular illness, like diabetes or cancer. Because of this policy many animals will have to be put down.     They are rude. When my dog got out they told the person who found my dog to bring him to animal control. They said that there was nothing they could do to help the person who found my pet. They left me a rude message talking about my per being at the shelter and gave me the wrong number to the guy who found my dog. This company is a sham.     I enroled my pet with this insurance company. The monthly price seems reasonable but their service is below standard. It took them over a month to send us the paperwork. I ended up canceling them and they have not given us our money back after 2 months. I had to file a dispute with our credit card company (I used to buy the insurance). Thankfully, the credit card company reversed the charges.     I think it's poor business practice and an absolute racket that 24PetWatch charges at least $14.95 to update the contact information on your pet. While I understand that they have overhead costs, it seems that they could cover those costs in another way. If I were making a donation to an animal rescue or shelter instead of just paying them it might be a different opinion but I think they need to reconsider their way of doing business.     Company took my payments for 2 years, have yet to file a claim. Found out quite by accident that these policies are not "underwritten". They advised me that until you actually file a claim, you do not know if you are covered or not. When I called to cancel and switch to VPI Pet Insurance, the customer rep was actually shouting into the phone: "what does it take to keep you here?".     I can say this company is a crock of bull... I bought my policy and paid a years worth of coverage to only find out six months later that they wouldn't cover my cat's diabetes. My cat showed symptoms of something was wrong on two days prior to the policy affective date which was noted on the vets paperwork.     I have 3 dogs which I registered with this company. I am moving in a few months and cannot take them with me. I will be turning them over to a rescue group. I just wanted to delete the dogs from the membership so that the new owners could register them if they want.     24 Pet Watch is a SCAM. I was sold the policy by the shelter I rescued my dog from. They play on your love of animals. They didn't tell me my dog was uninsurable due to a pre-existing condition ( before I even owned her)until I made a claim. They then said the shelter told them the pet had a problem at 3 weeks old.     Purchased this policy to avoid costly bills since I have another dog with health issues. We have three dogs (until one of them passed) and have had all of our pets covered by 24PetWatch for 9 years. I have read all the negative comments regarding the company and I agree with all of them! The company is nothing but a SCAM! It is quick to collect the insurance premiums, but paying up on valid claims is another question! Contacting them is a major fiasco. If one has time to sit on the phone and wait for at least 45 minutes or more good for you; I don't have the time to do so and the few times I have decided to take the time to wait and speak with someone, always regarding unpaid claims, I get nothing but excuses: we have an excess of claims lately, we have hired new people but they are still in training, etc., etc. The last time I waited to speak with someone I got a guy on the phone who was not allowed to speak to anyone regarding claims originating in the state of Washington. After he informed me of his inability to speak to me, he stated he would ask his supervisor to contact me immediately. which, of course, did not happen. Is this ever frustrating? I have even contacted the head of the claims department, who at one point was actually responding to my e-mails, however, suddenly she has opted to ignore any of my communications. The company thinks that we have no choice but to stay with them due to the fact that our dogs are geriatric, however, there are companies who will insure geriatric pets and we shall contact them. I am sick and tired of having to deal with people who steal money from customers, who are rude and unprofessional and basically do not care and don't know what they doing. STAY AWAY FROM 24PETWATCH UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO THROW AWAY!

This company is criminal. I cancelled my policy less than 24 hours after signing up and received a partial refund of my money. When I complained I was told that the policy was in affect for 1 business day. It took me calling 7 times that day to cancel it and when I finally talked to a real person she was rude because I had called so many times! The better business bureau needs to do something more than lower 24PetWatch's rating. It's organized crime.

I have wasted almost 3 yrs of $100 a month on this insurance which, if you ever receive a check, pays basically nothing. Can never get a rep, and had to cancel my debit card in order to cancel this insurance...MY first and WORST pet insurance experience ever!!!!

Their customer service is anything but. I ordered a pet tag that I'm unhappy with. I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from a manager to address the problem. Ridiculous. On the card that came with the item it promises that if I'm unhappy, just call and they'll fix it. Not even close. When I asked Nikki at customer service if she could record feedback from a customer to pass on, she informed me she has no ability to do that. So, do they know what the function of customer service is? Apparently not. Such a waste of time. The tag is not as promised and is damaged on receipt and I have to put even more time into dealing with it. Apparently every call/complaint has to be escalated to a manager. Am super frustrated and would never order anything from this company again. If they can't get deal with a simple tag more efficiently I'm not optimistic about their insurance or other services.

24PETWATCH - "I'm Still Waiting"

I have the QuickCare Gold 90% policy (AP0391194)through my employer. I submitted two separate claims over a month and a half ago and am still waiting for a response from 24PETWATCH. My dog's illness is clearly covered under the policy so I don't know what the long delay is. I'll wait another 2-3 weeks before I file an official complaint. I admit I'm getting concerned. I work in a large city where 24PETWATCH is offered as an employee benefit and will advise them of the service they can expect.

This company will Not pay when you have a claim. My cat had urinary infection with multiple positive urine cultures. Finally she died of kidney failure. 24 Petwatch did not pay! They claimed that hers was not a covered condition,even though the policy said they cover urinary tract disease and infectious disease. This company is a scam,and needs to be shut down. Is any government agency reading these/ There's been so many complains about this company!
